Germantown Charity Horse Show Painted Horseshoe Hunt Kicks Off May 1!
Get ready for some hoof-stomping fun! The Germantown Charity Horse Show (GCHS) is turning 76 this year and to celebrate, there are a record 76 horseshoes for the Painted Horseshoe Hunt!
The Horseshoe Hunt Runs May 1 – May 23
In the weeks leading up to the show, 76 uniquely decorated horseshoes will be hidden to be discovered by “shoe hunters” — three each weekday and four on weekends. Sharpen your sleuthing skills and follow the clues posted on the Germantown Charity Horse Show Group Facebook page.

Be sure to post an image of yourself with your collectable horseshoe which is yours to keep! In addition to enjoying the thrill of the hunt, each lucky finder of a horseshoe will receive two free tickets to this year’s Germantown Charity Horse Show, June 3–7.
The lucky winner who finds the Grand Prize Horseshoe will receive a T-shirt from the GCHS Charity General Store and tickets to this year’s horse show along with a special prize.
To show your community spirit and to keep the hunt fun and interesting for everyone participating, we ask that hunters claim no more than two shoes, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop hunting! You can compete for the Good Sportsmanship Hunter Award by posting “found and left” for any shoes you discover beyond your first two, then waiting to share images of them until someone else finds them and makes their claim online. The Good Sportsmanship Hunter Award winner receives two GCHS horse show tickets and a T-shirt!
